Hello,

I've just switched to Ubuntu and am pretty happy so far. What I feel is missing though is something similar to Media Centre on Windows where I can record TV, etc.

Is there anything like this for Ubuntu? Anything in the works?

btw do not install mythtv from there (installing from webpages are not the best thing), but try mythubuntu which is ubuntu for mediacentres.

+1 for Mythbuntu.

Recently build a HTPC and installed Mythbuntu on it. Great stuff.

Depends on what the main function for the computer will be.

If it is a desktop that you want to watch TV on, Kaffeine or me-tv are simpler interfaces (which I use).

Mythbuntu is a complete HTPC solution.
