Hi.

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 and have a problem with my Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120 printer. It won't print.

When I turned it on, Ubuntu auto-detected it and said the printer's ready to print. But when I tried to print something, nothing happened. And in a print queue the document is marked as done.

After that I tried to execute this howto (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardwareSupportComponentsPrinters/CanonPrinters/Canon_LBP_2900) step by step, substituting the printer model. Again, nothing is being printed, but this time document in a queue hangs up with "processing" status until I cancel it.

Maybe someone can help my with this?

Here is the entry on the OpenPrinting.org website for your printer:

http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Canon-LBP-1120

P.S.- Give people a chance to find your Thread before you go bumping it so soon. When you bump it, those of us who check for Unanswered Posts to help out tend to miss them. Not everyone has an answer for you. Remember, everyone on these forums "volunteer" their time to help others out. Also, make sure to thank those that helped you. Finally, if this helped you, mark the Thread as SOLVED and let others know what you did to get your printer working.

According to the wiki, the 1.80 driver doesn't work with Ubuntu 8.10, u shoud use CAPTDRV160.tar.gz instead. Could that solve the problem?

Well, it didn't, because it's just the driver I tried to install.
