I'm booting Ubuntu off of an external hard drive, but its not booting the way I want it too.
What I am doing now: I turn on my computer, and it continues to the windows boot manager, from there I select vista or ubuntu.
What i want to do: I turn on the computer, and I want to go into the boot options hitting my magic F key, then selecting my external hard drive and having it boot ubuntu from there.
Now, the way it is now, doing what i want gives me a message saying "this is not a bootable disk"
how can i fix that? reinstalling ubuntu is an ok option if thats where the road takes me.
Thanks for all the help!
