Dell XPS M1210
2.4ghz dual core (32 bit)
2gb RAM
Intel Integrated 945G Graphics Controller
Linux Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex
Monitor:
Dell 1703FP
Everything seems to work okay when on my laptop screen, but when I am hooked up to my external monitor (1280x1024) I have very strange video issues. Flash content and video content in any program will flicker strangely, and eventually my external monitor will go completely blank and refuse to re-enable until I reboot.
I've been advised to check video drivers. Is there a way I can reset/reinstall/reconfigure my video drivers to be sure they are working? What other course of action should I take?
