I have 2 laptops (one of which is a netbook) and both are running Ubuntu 8.10.
Can someone point me in the direction of a SIMPLE:) guide so I can share (all?) files between them?
Thanks

Check out ssh. It's a quick and easy way to share files on Linux. With Ubuntu, if I remember correctly, you can set it up with limited terminal use, and after setup, no need for the terminal.
I found a really simple guide on this long ago.....but can't find it now. psychocats?
Another cool, simple Ubuntu tool is the remote desktop. I use it to access my Ubuntu desktop at home from my windows work terminal.
Here's the guide....I found it: http://users.bigpond.net.au/hermanzone/p11.htm#Persistent_SSH_LAN_

Plus something like an FTP server software might be good too; only know of the terminal based ones for servers but im sure some out there have front ends :)

I'm not sure but maybe SFTP runs out of the box.
