Is it possible to create a new wireless network in the terminal? I know it can be done by left clicking on the network manager applet, but I want to be able to do this using the Orca screen-reader which will probably mean using the terminal. If I can get the Create new wireless network GUI up I think Orca would be able to read it.

Solved! The command needed is nm-connection-editor, this brings up a gui which enables you to specify the network name, enter an encryption key and then connect to a wireless network. If anyone can work out the terminal command to scan for available wireless networks and select one please let me know.
