hello there,

i've a problem to connecting to every wlan using the network-manager as normal user.

when i try to connect as root using the network-manager, everything works fine.

as user, the system asks for my wifi-key, then it connects to the wlan. after few seconds, the connetion is lost and the system ask for my wifi-key again. but then, no connetion will be established.

when i'm looking for wlans using
iwlist scanning no wlans will be found.

if i restart the computer and try the same things as root, everthing works fine.

my system is an ubuntu 8.10 using the old kernel 2.6.24-16-generic.
the wlan adater is an Atheros Communications Inc C54RU
my normal user, who should use the network-manager to connect is member of the group "netdev"

can anyone give me son help or information about this problem?

while i wrote this thread, i have the effect, i also lost the connection as root. but it takes over 15 minutes from connect to lose. the only way to reconnect is to restart the whole computer.

with ubuntu 8.04 i never had these problems!
