Be sure and order off this link. I heard they were going to be discounted, but went to the mini 9 through the open source link on the front page and it didn't have the mini discounted, so I ordered any way. I'm now on the phone trying to resolve the matter.

Inspiron Mini basic - $349 on Dell
First I bought 3 $100 Dell Gift Cards on EBAY for $84.99 each (BIN) = $254.97
Then I got 30% Live.com Cash Back - $76.49
So I actually got $300 worth of Dell Gift Cards for $178.48!!!
So with the 3 $100 Dell Gift Cards plus $49 the total cost of my Laptop is $227.48!
Cant beat that :guitar:

Wait... is dell selling the mini 9 as "xp only" at your place? In Spain It's ubuntu only! (http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/laptop-inspiron-9?c=es&cs=esdhs1&l=es&s=dhs), ...which I do absolutely love :-)
So you have to pay a M$ license to get it?

The Mini 9 is still not on the Dutch Dell website. :( It was supposed to be available here at the end of November. Still waiting...

Great to see you can still customize it, as the $299 price is for the low-end you can still add RAM, disk space and extra.
The Optional cover decorations/colors is pretty cool to boot! I really want one! You think getting hundreds of these advertisements from the newspaper and taping them up around the house, her car, inside the microwave, etc. would drop a big enough hint? :lolflag:
