Accidentally entering post inside Quote tags gives confusing error dialog

If you quote a message and (accidentally) enter your reply within the quote tags, then when you preview (or post), you get this error:
The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.
I understand why the error occurs, but is it possible to check if the whole post is a quote and then suggest this as a possible solution? Or to allow 0 length posts for previews, but not for posting?

I was surprized when I saw the message, but then I realized my mistake. I worry that others might not understand the problem. And I would hate to scare away a newbie.
