Ok, so I did a fresh install after Ibex was released. I was dual booting XP and 8.04 before this but decided after doing some testing with 8.10 in a VM that it was stable enough and fixed many of my issues with it that I re-formatted the whole hard drive this time with 8.10.

Anyway, after the install from CD it all worked absolutely flawlessly, with one exception. I tried to plug in my FugiFilm 128MB xD card just like I had in 8.04 to transfer over my images from the card to F-Spot, nothing popped up. Before a window would open up asking me what to import but since the update I can't even see that the card mounted itself. I don't even know what the card is called now so I'm not sure how to find that out to mount it by hand. I know the controller shows up with lspci and I get the following lines regarding the Ricoh controller:
03:01.1 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 19)
03:01.2 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C843 MMC Host Controller (rev 0a)
03:01.3 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C592 Memory Stick Bus Host Adapter (rev 05)
03:01.4 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd xD-Picture Card Controller (rev ff)

I've seen around that some other people are having similar issues, and I'm guessing it's something to do with the new Ricoh drivers in 8.10 but any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated as I have a bunch of pictures from this weekend that I want to put in my albums.

Thanks
