cannot minimize openarena

when open arena is launched, i cant minimize it. dont work any of walk through windows or desktops, or minimize windows shortcuts. seems that ctrl ant alt just dont work when its launched.
i'm on kubuntu hardy kde 3

:) it just sometimes happens when you have immediately to access desktop for a while.. :)

If the game has an option to run it in a window instead of fullscreen I suggest just using that and then use a preset keybinding to switch desktops.

If you're worried about hiding that game and its sound completely then I suggest muting it while playing at the office. :p

Or how about headphones? You could hear the sound but your boss couldn't.

hehe, i'm not worried about the boss :D it just sucks when i have to close openarena if i have to do smth small and fast on other programs running on desktop. and it happens :)
it is just very strange to me that the program cannot be minimized. if i run opearena in window, the mouse cursor will stuck in that window and still none of shortcuts will work and none of other windows can be activated.
i heard that gnome dont have that problem.. i should check that my self.. :)

open the console with ~ an type

\in_nograb 1

than you can go with the mouse out of te window.

if you want to play type \in_nograb 0

you can type \seta bind f11 \in_nograb 1
and
\seta bind f12 \in_nograb 0

or combiante this with fullscreen

you do realize this is a very old thread, the original poster is probably not going to see this.

secondly going to console releases the grab so by windowing open arena you can switch to another workspace (ctrl+enter to window the game).

but thanks for sharing the commands, those might be useful
