There appear to be problems with this webcam in Linux.
See here.

You may find that you will save yourself a lot of time and heartache (I know from personal experience, believe me) by selling your webcam to a Windows user.

Replace it with something like the Logitech Quickcam E3500
(device ID 046d:09a4) which works fine in Linux.

valeriki,
Just plug it in and see what happens.
The test video in Skype should be fine but you will have to fiddle about with Sound Settings in 8.10 because of PulseAudio.
I could write a book about webcams!
Anyway, have a look here. You should find something to help you.

I have a Logitech quickcam Fusion which worked fine in hardy as long as build-essentials was installed. Now in Ibex, I can't get it working for the life of me. The microphone in the webcam works quite nicely, just not the camera.
