Some delay in 8.10

Is there some delay added in login screen and in gnome-screensaver after giving password before proceeding? It seems to respond slower than in 8.04.

I doubt they would have put in a delay, it is probably due to some new feature in 8.10 that takes a bit longer to load. Not to worry though, they are working on speed for the next ubuntu release, 9.04.
