Accessing Minix from Ubuntu?

Hey,
I am using Minix as virtual machine using VirtualBox. I need to install vim in Minix for which i need to move the package in minix os. In minix i cannot access the internet. Therefore how can i mount Minix(.vdi) to the host machine?

Just found this while looking for threads on running Minix in virtualbox. I think the easiest would be to make a CD image containing the package and then mount that in the virtual machine.
