Hello, I imported a DV tape from my camera with Kino into an AVI file with intentions of converting to MPEG and burning to DVD. The problem is that when I convert to MPEG, at beginning of the video everything is fine but at the end of the video the audio and video are noticeably out of sync. I believe the problem is that the original AVI is 30 fps and the MPEG is NTSC 29.97 fps. I have searched quite a bit and I haven't found a way to fix this. Can anyone help?

Solved by importing raw DV instead of AVI with Kino, winFF to convert to MPEG, DeVeDe to convert to DVD ISO image, and then burn DVD. Kino conversions from AVI or raw DV to MPEG did not work for me.

This thread has some stuff on using ffmpeg to change framerate:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=688679

But I always just use blender 3d. I use blender to make my video tutorials, so I composite video and audio tracks, and switch between them in blender, but you can also just use it to change the framerate of a file, but is kina clumsy for that if that is all you are doing. If you can't find another answer let me know, and I'll show you how to use blender to do that, or find another solution, but I think that thread has it all.
