I have Ubuntu Studio 8.10 installed. I have tried various methods for getting Opera installed. I have tried several versions straight from the site, i have tried without luck to find it in add/remove, and i have tried 1 install from terminal.

No matter what version or method i use to install it, it works fine except that the menu's (file, edit, etc) all do not show any text when you lick on them, they just show a dash and blank space.

Does any one have suggestions for how i can get Opera installed and fully functional? Keep in mind i am a first time linux user, so treat me as if i were 5 years old. Thanks.
