sony mp3 problem

Hello there! I have a problem transfering mp3 audio files from my computer to sony walkman nw-e503 mp3 player . Amarok cannot even play my songs. This might be a reason for me to return to windows.. I am new in ubuntu so i would appreciate any help. Thank you in advance

Have you installed all the codecs (see this thread- http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=766683)?
Does your walkman show up when you plug it in to the computer?
