Hi,

I installed a new PC from sratch using mythbuntu 8.10. The PC consists of 2 DVB-S cards (Hauppauge) and is a small ITX thingy. After 2 days it crashes so baldly it does not even give out a monitor signal or accepts a mouse / keyboard - only a hard reset help. That's really uncool because I kind of rely on the backend..
I see that the CPU temperature it very high after the crash so it seems like it's hogging CPU power for some reason.

I posted the logs here: http://mythbuntu.pastebin.com/f351c5526

Does anyone have a clue what the reson could be??

Thank you VERY VERY much in advance!!!

Hi,

I know this sounds hard but can you try running the system for a day without mythtv backend to just see if myth is the problem or something else.

Are you running 32 or 64bit?

I use the AMD 64 Bit Version of Mythbuntu. I thought that would be clever since it is a 64 Bit processor ;-)

I am kind of new to Linux (Mac User :-) .. is there some kind of crash-log where I could see what module or driver caused the crash?

Thanks.

It's crashing every 2-4 days - that long without recording .. puh..
