I've just set up MythWeb and it's a great application.
I now find I want to allow access to a couple of people, but I'd quite like to restrict access to some sections, ie schedule recordings, but I would like them to be able to access, say, music files.
Is there a way of doing this? I have set up a couple of Users when setting the security, but can't see why you would want to have more than one user account if you can't vary the access rights.

To my knowledge, you cannot set differing access rights. The reason is the way mythweb was written. There is no read only access

That's a shame.
Thanks for answering. Certainly a simple option to define a read only user would be a simpler way of doing what I was after.
I guess it's not a feature many people would need.

actually it is a feature that I see asked about as well as something I would like. However, I don't have the working knowledge of mythweb to rewrite the whole thing and I don't think upstream has the manpower to do that right now (AFAIK, the conversion to mythui is taking alot of their time)
