Glade crashes

I have installed glade-2 to make some changes on a PythonGtk program I wrote some time ago. Now glade crashes immediately when I try to open the .glade file. The crash occurs in the fileopen dialog when I select a directory. Both glade-2 with and without gnome support have this problem.
