Samba as a Domain Conroller

Hi,
I want to install a Samba + LDAP domain at home using ubuntu 8.10 where my network consists of Windows and Ubuntu computers. I have been looking at teh Ubuntu Server Guide for 8.10 and i'm not sure i understand how to set it up. My question is, what do i have to setup to do this. I'm thinking that i need to set up LDAP first, then Samba and LDAP then Samba as a domain controller. Is this correct?

Thank you! That's all i needed to know and i wasn't sure how different 7.10 and 8.10 was with setting up the domain. I setup LDAP wrong when i first did it so i am going to flatten and reinstall my server this weekend and try that guide.
