Are there any tools for creating flash in ubuntu.....

I need it to develop one for my website....i googled out a lot to find the substitute for Adobe, but i never came across some really good ones....

Not that I know of. But CS2 is pretty well supported through wine and MX should most certainly work!

someone suggested me flexbuilder....i have downloaded the bin file...but i dont know how i can install it.......

is it a good one for make flash.???

u mean mx using the wine itself........

i have mx44 in my repos...are both the same or different

Some actionscript applications (in .swf form) can be programmed using HaXe http://haxe.org but that's not exactly the same as flash with all the pretty colors.

Flexbuilder works with Eclipse, an IDE that requires Java. In other words, you should install the latest Java, then the latest Eclipse, and then you can probably install Flex Builder on your Eclipse IDE.

Flex is a very different way to develop Flash. If you don't mind approaching Flash development like you might approach developing an application (writing code without much of a GUI), you might like it.
