Hi all,

Couldn't find a thread matching this issue in the search function, so I thought I'd take my chances posting.

I've been having a problem with the last few releases where my GTK widgets are missing from system windows such as this:

This is just one of the many windows this problem appears with. Drop-down select boxes such as the "Check for updates" select list, and the "Show new distro releases" list in the Updates tab of Software Sources appear but are blank (ie: completely unpopulated - I can't select anything). And yet the dropdowns in the Multimedia Systems selector work fine.

I am using Gnome 2.24.1 and as far as I am aware, I have everything installed (all the GTK/GTK+ stuff etc).

I'm still mostly a newb with Ubuntu, so if anyone has had similar issues or knows a solution, please help me out. It's getting annoying, but it's not crippling.

Thanks in advance
