Hello to everybody!
I've a big problem with Ubuntu (7.10, 8.04, and 8.10 too). It seems to freeze without a reason, sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 2 days.... but it completely freezes, and the only solution is to push the reset button.
On my pc I have also windows XP and it has no problems: so I'd exclude some hardware wastes.
In Ubuntu I disabled, from the services: acpid, powernowd, apmd; it seems to be a little more stable, but not at all.
Freezes seems to be more frequent when I use Firefox, in particular with video applications (youtube); however freezes can also happen without processes running, or when I'm burning a CD, or when I listen to music with Amarok, ecc...
Can you help me in some way? Thank you so much!!
