I'm guessing you see loads of these threads, but I thought I'd introduce myself anyway.

I'm Lasse Nielsen, a geek from early childhood (the age of 6), now 14 but with more computer and technology knowledge than your average 14 yearold.
I run my own blog at MenZa.org (http://www.menza.org), which I use a couple of hours every week to tweak (but I never seem to get really happy with how it looks ;))

I'm a newly convert to Ubuntu linux, and after some time working in the GNOME Desktop Environment, I thought I'd try downloading KDE and mess around with that, and I have been stuck with KDE ever since.

My first Linux distro was Mandriva (or well, when it was still called Mandrake) that I tried to run on a virtual PC, but it never really worked out, so I ditched the idea again.
When I saw that 5.10, Breezy Badger was released on a Danish technology news site, I thought I'd give it a try so I downloaded the Kubuntu live CD and checked it - it seemd awesome, so I decided to go download the full version of it - but I accidentally installed the Ubuntu one (oh yeah, and I never figured out that it was actually Ubuntu until I had used it for a few hours ).
I was pretty unhappy with myself, as I wrote above, one day I found out that you could upgrade so I did, and now I'm using Kubuntu about 90% of the time, even though I'm dualbooting with WinXP.

I don't really think there's much more I should tell - and you're probably quite tired of reading if you've read from the top to here, so I'll conclude this post.

-Lasse Nielsen

Hi Lasse,

Because your post has somehow been overlooked by the admins, I would like to say welcome to you.

It is amazing what you can do with computers at 14. I saw that you translate manuals to Danish as well. I hope you will feel at home here, and that this may turn out to be a nice place to visit.
