I am having problem connecting to the Internet/Network using this card/driver. I am using the Intel Desktop Pro gigabit GT card. I was wondering if the e1000 driver bug is fixed or not. Thanks

If problem is that it connects, then few seconds later, disconnects. I tried assigning it static IP, same thing happen. DHCP, same

I connect the system to a different router/switch, same thing.

Please help.

I am using PCI version of the Intel desktop pro gigabit GT card.

I re-installed the system using 8.04 32bit, the card works fine. The 64bit, does not work. Stuck at "requesting a network address from the wired network"

The 32bt Ubuntu 8.10 Works fine, but the 64bit Ubuntu, I am still having problem with the Intel Gigabit Desktop Pro GT card. It detects the card, but when I plug in the cat5 cable, it keep saying connect, few seconds later, disconnects. The GREEN circle icon keep repeating.

Are there any info/update/Fix for the Intel gigabit cards for Ubuntu 8.10 64bit?

Thanks
