I have recently installed Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit and have been attempting to install VMWare Server 2.0 64-bit. I have downloaded the tar.gz version and extracted it to a desktop folder, that has been shared and given full r w x permissions. I have navigated to the vmware-server-distrib folder and run in terminal the vmware-install.pl file, but nothing happens other that the terminal screen flash up and close out.
Has any one successfully installed and run the Linux version of VMWare Server 2.0 /64. If so how?
Cheers.
