So last night there was an accident that shut down the road by my house for most of the night. A telephone pole was hit and leaning badly over the road. Made for a rough time running errands and delivering kids. From the little bit I could see, the angle it was hit, looked like a pretty bad accident, like someone swerved or was T-boned...

The problem? This is a simple "country road" and nowhere near an intersection - there are small lakes on either side of the road!

* recently acquired ibm ps/1 model 2121 (i'm really on the edge before using modded / modding kernels with this one)
Future dreams:
* calculator
* lego mindstorms nxt v1 (man, had that thing since 1 month after launch. It took way more beating than it should survive (several stairs, few glasses of soda, ...) and it still works. You can say a lot about lego, but you have to admit they build some almost indestructable stuff)
* my parents pc, my mom freaks-out when the pc does unexpected things or somethings changed though i successfully got her to use firefox (if she only rememberd to close tabs and not be angre when ff needs ages to launch with 25 tabs on an aging winxp) nor will she use anything she don't know. short: major challenge.

I have recently acquired a touchscreen monitor/mouse/keyboard combo that I am having difficulty working with my new Ubuntu tower. No matter how much I direct the cursor physically, I still need to match the motions with the mouse.... otherwise I just get different colors on my screen.... do I need a new compiz?
