Everytime I come to install restricted for my nVidia graphics card and Broadcom wifi card the manager just hangs on

Downloading and installing 0% or searching for drivers, either one, I've not noticed a pattern tbh.

I've a Broadcom bcm41 rev2 card and nVidia 6100 running ubuntu 8.10

Any ideas thanks

Try going to synaptic then settings>repositories. there is a dropdown box nest to server. Choos other, and click on Select Best Server. When it is done click on use server or whatever it says and try again.
