I'm looking for a quick way to simple resize an image(s) , for emailing or the web , similar but better to XP's right click send to email .......

Any ideas?

I highly recommend phatch, which is a great batch photo processor, but also can be easily setup to work on a right click. Once you set it up (it's pretty beginner-friendly if you're willing to read the simple manual) it's a breeze to use.

yes you can,

install imagemagic.

and find out how to write a small nautilus script, there are some examples on gnome-look

I believe the package is called "imagemagick". It is a command-line tool for image manipulation.

The executable is called "convert". Have fun!
