When I got home today my monitor wasnt working so I unplugged it and replugged and it started working again. However now my screen resolution is off and the two choice are too small. How do I get a higher resolution?

I could really use some help as these huge icons and windows are annoying.

This happens to me sometimes, too. Try hitting Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to reset the session. If that doesn't work, boot into the grub and try the xfix. One of these two always works for me.:)

When you first turn on your computer, it'll say something like "Loading grub press esc to enter menu" Press Esc. Then select your kernel in recovery mode. Wait a sec. Then choose xfix. Wait a sec. Then resume, and it'll boot up normally. Hope this helps.
