I installed truecrypt 6.1 - this is for ubuntu 8.04, 32bit - and managed to create a hidden volume within an outer volume within a partition. Very nice utility.

But what I would like to do is to create a hidden operating system. According to the truecrypt website, you click on 'system' and use the wizard. The thing is though, there is no 'system' tab or button that I can find.

I checked the forums here but don't see any details of creating a hidden operating system. Is it possible that only the windows version can do it? Or am I just overlooking the obvious?

Thanks for any advice.

I'm not sure but I think that the hidden OS is a windows only feature since Truecrypt is native to windows. You can create a encrypted OS in Ubuntu using the alternate cd but I don't know about a hidden OS.

Thanks. I just noticed some screenshots on the truecrypt site which have an extra option. They don't say anything about not being able to create the hidden os with the linux version, but I guess that's the case.
