wine trouble

i went this website http://www.winehq.com/site/download-deb and i followed the instructions to put the repositories in. i then opened synaptic and downloaded and installed wine it says everything worked ( ya know the regular msg ya get when its done) but its not in the gnome menu. every other program i installed through synaptic showed up in the gnome menu. i'd jis really like to know how to use wine after i install it this way.

In a terminal type wine /path/to/windows/executable.exe

haven't figured gnome only solution, but I also have kde and using konqueror with this

kfmclient openURL programs:/Wine/


in gnome will bring up installed programs you can click and run
