I've used Ubuntu now for a couple years -- several different releases -- and I've consistently experienced what could be considered a security issue for some. I don't personally need a fix for this, but thought I'd bring it up in case it was helpful for somebody else.
The problem is that as my dual monitor setup boots up, the secondary monitor displays the contents of last known desktop for a moment before the login screen appears. Whatever was displayed on the secondary monitor at the end of the last session is flashed up for a few seconds for all to see just prior to login. I can imagine that would be a security issue for somebody.
FYI, I use an old Matrox G450 video card.
If anybody has any questions I'll be happy to help if I can. Again, I don't need a fix, just want to help out if possible.
