Is it possible to update theme, that is not my own to make it compatible to Firefox 1.5?

Only if it has a compatibility update for Firefox 1.5. You can see its current compatibility status in its page on addons.mozilla.org, and if you do a check for updates and you have the "Installed extensions and themes" option checked in Preferences / Advanced / Update, it will automatically check anyway.

They probably won't update it as it came with a huge forum of themes. All mostly by the same person.

You probably can do it yourself, if you want, and their license for the theme permits. (You'd probably have to ask the author of the theme about that.)

Yes, but I want to know how to do that.

Well, basically, I'd say open up a theme .jar (jars are just renamed zip archives which hold the files for the theme) and look to see how it's done. There aren't a whole lot of tutorials on theming firefox, but, here's a post from mozillazine: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=345753&sid=efa82b5ea41f138ad5e2a5bfac1a7018
and this:

and this from mozilla.org:
http://www.mozilla.org/catalog/end-user/customizing/themes/
That's the best I can do, since I've never done a FF theme.

I already knew about the "*.jar -> *.zip" thing. And just another question. how do you install themes from your desktop? I try to open it in Firefox but it thinks it's some Java extension. Any ideas? As for those links. I'll check them out now.

I believe if you open the theme window and drag the .jar into it then it will prompt you for install.
