Why ubuntu cant have all the programs for linux in reprosities? ... like gentoo?

I like ubuntu very much, but just dont understand.

Ubuntu has a very wide selection of software. Maybe you're seeing too few because you haven't enabled extra repositories (http://help.ubuntu.com/starterguide/C/faqguide-all.html#addinguniverse).

nono..i have extra reprosities. I just wonder couse (example gentoo) have all the games like q3, et...and stuff, ubuntu has just a general programs.

alot of gentoo's stuff under portage is a front end or link to get files. With all of the repositories enabled there are over 17,000 packages. Gentoo I think is a little over 9,000 or it was the last time I was using it. How on earth you can think that 17,000 packages isn't very much is beyond me.

I agree, I have always found the 17000 packages in the ubuntu repositories to be more than enough... Plus, there is no possible way to include all the programs available for Linux...
