Hey everyone just another noob introduction here. Just a little backround, very new to linux. After seeing the cube desktop Ubuntu peaked my intrest. I have a Imac intel running a dual boot via bootcamp with XP lite and figured threes a crowd so I installed ubuntu on the XP. Ive been having alot of fun experimenting with it. My only two questions/issues have been.

1.Low sound- So far ive jacked up the volume on XP, checked the alsa mixer and everythings up all the way. Still very fuzzy with the scripts and gonna be hunting around these forums.

2.Cubes- Ive been able to figure out almost everything except can you use the top and bottom of the cube as a desktop or can u only put a image there?

thanks everyone

Install compizconfig-settings-manager and have a look in the settings. you can set the number of faces on the cube and set the top and bottom caps.
