So I've got Samba setup on my Intrepid box (has been 7.04 ->7.10 -> 8.04) and it shares fine with my wife's Windows XP machine and my work XP laptop.

But I've just setup a new 8.10 to start building a MythTV machine from.

I can't see either of the these two boxes from each other. Linux to Linux. Windows to Linux is just fine...

hell even my VMware install of XP running on the Linux box can see all the shares on the network - both windows and linux.

Any ideas? what do I need to post to help diagnose. I've never had this issue before, but up until 7.04 I was a Mandrivite....

I forgot to add...

I also have 8.10 on that laptop (it's dual boot) and i can get to the shares from that copy of 'nix, but not to the new 8.10 desktop.
