glxgears problem

I can run glxgears just fine, and get the animation and all, but it isn't outputting the results back to the terminal....

I tried running it both as root and as a user, any ideas? thx

That is the correct usage to get your fps. It's that obscure because people actually believe that it provides a repeatable, reasonable result.

Try a search of this forum and you will find dozens more threads like this.

aight, thx, that was the command i needed :D

i know its not anywhere near an accurate benchmark i just wondered why it wasn't outputting any fps :P

Is there any kind of utility like FRAPS for linux?
