I upgraded from ubuntu 8.04.1 to 8.10, and that changed the default application for opening folders from Nautilus to Amarok. I don't know exactly what happened, as I can open folders normally, using Open With, but I want to know where I find the setting regarding the default applications, so I can just double-click a folder to open it, as before upgrading?

Still no answer. And did not anybody else wanted to change the default opening application for some file types?

Right-click a file/directory, select "Properties" and on the "open with"-tab select the application you want to use.

Right-click->"Open with" will only use the selected program that time, right-click->Properties->"Open With" sets the default program.

Silly me. It was right under my nose... Thank you, mcduck. I hope at least some other users will find this thread and learn from it.
