looks like a great idea, I've talked to allot of people who have either tried linux (ubuntu) and given up after the wireless didn't work or talked to people who have given up because something didn't work right out of the box and went back to windows. the idea that ubuntu "just didnt work" is very harmful to the community and just adds another brick in the divideing wall between os's.

have you tried this install? did everything set up correctly from the first boot?

It does not look like anymore than could be done with any Hardy 8.04 install and a few additional downloads. I had Hardy customized just like that in about 30 minutes after a stock install.

But, the wireless driver included may be of interest for the Acer Aspire One. Thats the chipset it uses.

FireFox should be upgraded to 3.03, and comp-fusion does not work on every system.

That's not Ubuntu's fault. I can play my mp3s while offline.
