[SOLVED] Mini 9 Networking

I am totaly lost! At shutdown last night the system was working normally. At startup today it would not connect to my wireless network. When I force a manual connection it apparently connects to the router, but when attempting a connection there is no joy. When I ping the router it says no network is available. The other systems on my network, including this one, connect wirelessly with no apparent problem.

I don't know where to start. Any help would be appreciated!

I guess that Ubuntu dust bunnies were at work. I deleted all wireless networks and let the system rediscover them and reached Nirvana. I'd still like to understand what happened.
