I'm trying to burn a few of our favorite songs onto a blank cd. I want to be able to listen to it on a stereo also. I am using Brasero to make the burn and as soon as I add the first file, Brasero says there's no space.
I thought all you had to do was add a file of a common format and Brasero would convert it to the proper format foir what I want. Am I wrong?
Thank you...
Kevin

Hi
Same problem here with 8.10. I used Brasero (very infrequently) in 8.04 but didn't have any problems. I'm trying to burn to ordinary CD-Rs.

I also have a problem on 8.10, with brasero and k3b.
I can burn a CD with brasero and k3b, but i cant read it. It refuses to mount. But I can read the CD normally in windows. Also, CDs burned in windows can be normally read in 8.10.
What is wrong?

Obviously there is a problem. Anyone got an answer to this issue?

Hve you tried GnomeBaker? I was not able to burn any CDs with Brasero in 8.10. I tried to burn iso images and audio CDs but it did not work. I was able to do it with GnomeBaker.

I'd be interested to hear if 8.10 Brasero has been repaired. I switched to K3b and that works just fine.

You can remove brasero, and then download package from http://www.getdeb.net/app/Brasero and install it. That solved all my problems with brasero.

Linux newbie here. Thanks to all who have posted. I keep having troubles with Brasero also (could not copy one CD), so I tried GnomeBaker. So far so good with CDs, I am now trying a DVD5 Does it copy dual layer DVDs however?
I believe I may have tried the K3B when I had Kubuntu, but don't remember much. I replaced Kubuntu with Ubuntu as liked everything about Ubuntu better.
Has anyone tried Linux Mint? If so, what is your opinion? Much thanks!

Thanks, Brenx - it worked for me on 8.10 Studio 64-bit, just as you described. Fast and easy.

Hi, thanks brenx, it worked for me too, the problem is that the actual version (0.9.2) have lost the widget to monitor the disc capacity. See this thread to understand what I'm meaning:

So, I hope that a new fixed release will be available soon!
