I have tried a few installation including dual boot. internet works fine on windows but cannot pick up address in 8.04. I tried dhcp and static but all I get in the private address on the wired connection. I am guessing the nic is not supported, as I have seen another blog with similar problem and changing the nic worked. I am still new to this and not really sure, but would really like to give ubuntu a shot if i can just get internet working
