A few days ago I installed 8.10 and it broke my wireless and no matter what I did it wouldn't work, so I decided I would test some other distros. I tried Fedora, to easy. Suse, to easy. Arch, no luck. And now I'm at Debian, The installation was easy. but I used the netinstall disc and when it got to the part about selecting a server none of them worked (even though I was connected to the internet, or at least I think I was) So I just finished installing it. It gave me a bare minimum installation, with no repo's. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could go about getting the repo's for X, and gnome.

Do you have anything listed in /etc/apt/sources.list?

Which debian version did you install?

I have debian 4 r5. And the only the listed was some commented stuff, like what version of debian or whatever.
EDIT: Never mind I'll just reinstall it with the cd that has gnome.
