I recently installed ubuntu on a pc in my home network. At first it saw my network and all my networked computers. Now, when I boot it up, it sees my Windows network, but not any of my computers. It does connect to the Internet. All I have done is installed VNC and Ubuntu updates.

I am not versed in linux and this is my first time playing with Ubuntu. I appreciate any help you can offer.

are you able to ping any of your windows computers?

I am not sure how to. I can access my router without any problems.

I found Ping and I was successful in pinging another computer.

try connecting to one of your computers directly. either try typing in the ip of the computer, or using the "smb://" prefix for it
