As far as I could learn from previous posts, the ndiswrapper-modules will never be backported because they need a recompilation of the kernel. But there's an annoying bug in the current Breezy version with regards to my USB WLAN stick.
So I would like to know: Will ndiswrapper-source 1.5 ever be backported, or should I rather use the original sources in order to compile it?
Please don't be angry if this is a silly question - I'm a Linux newbie.
