Hi,

I was hoping it is possible to backport the latest version of evince; I'm now using 0.4.0 and it suffers a very nasty bug: when you reload a document, it very often crashes.

According to this it should be solved in a newer version:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314986

It would be a great help to me since when I use latex (I'm making a presentation in latex beamer), I reload every few minutes...

Thanks in advance!

i don't think this is a backports candidate, it depends on libkpathsea4-dev, and libs are not backported to the best of my knowledge. also, the release that is in dapper drake is 0.4.0, which is the same as the one in breezy.

thanks for explaining. That's a pity.

I'm pretty new to ubuntu; so I'm not sure how this works, but: can I request that they change the version to be included in Dapper, or is it too late for that?

Sorry to ask again, but I've been looking around to find this stated anywhere, but I can't find a list in the Wiki nor at Launchpad. Where did you obtain that info? Thanks.

I don't know if I understand you correctly, but packages.ubuntu.com is a great resource to get this kind of information.

Thanks, Knomefan - that was indeed what I was looking for!
(now I hope that it will be possible to get a new version in there)
