I've read and tried every single post on this forum about nvidia, twinview and tv-out but none seemed to work for me =/ I want to clone my monitor screen to an old 29" TV to watch movies and play games but I just can't get it to work, I've tried 2 different cables and both give me the same result. I have a new videocard (GF 8800GS using my old one's xorg.conf) hooked to my CRT monitor through it's cable and to my TV via an "s-video to composite" (don't know if it's right but it's that yellow video-in plug) cable and all I see on my tv screen is "No signal". I'm pretty sure I could see the POST and boot screens on my tv when I had a tv-out setup on my ati and nvidia cards back in the day...

Can anyone please help me?

have you used nvidia-settings to configure this?

as far as i remember, nvidia cards have something like this below, which you plug either component or s-video into it. are you using this or plugging directly into the graphics card?
