Can we have a google talk bit on profiles please, it will take a max of 5 minutes for anyone who has the rights in admincp to do it.
Since G1 phone is out now, i would like to see googles talk on this forum, since G1 Android is linux based ;)

We have been requesting for Jabber/xmpp to be added for a while the Admins will add it when they get the chance. Things are NEVER just as simple as they seem with HUGE forums of this size.
/me just waits patiently

Not a particularly striking reason for doing it. Posting 'no' in this thread takes about 10 seconds.

They used to have it until the Forums were upgraded, but lost the plugin. Since they can edit the source, some admin could add it (not necessarily easy)

Well, it can take 6 seconds to 5 minutes, depending on traffic. New hardware may change these numbers.
Also, for the plugin, many times plugins are not kept up to date and can't be used (plugs aren't simple things) with newer versions. We lost a few features that way, when the plugin became non maintained.

I'm sure VBulletin has the "custom profiles" feature, i used to admin VB before for another forum.
And i don't see why having a large forum would change the fact that they login to the admin and create a new field?

Does vBulletin have this feature by default? If it did, I'm sure it would be enabled. If it doesn't, that means it is a plug in.

I am pretty sure it does have that feature.
